I - Announcements/Agenda/Administrative

Approved 1-17 minutes without objection

Notified by Laura Prives, who is currently the unpaid staff alternate, that she has gotten the job of associate producer at the Morning Show, and therefore will end her term as an UPSO representative at the end of this month. (as of
2/28/06). UPSO will not appoint a new alternative as a new election of program council reps is supposed to get underway shortly. Laura may serve as a substitute  proxy for the paid staff public affairs reps from time to time  when they are away on vacation.

Brian notifed the program council of the move of the program council internal wiki to an alternate site and advised all PC members to register at the new site. Community access to the new wiki site will be available once the editing protocol is formatted. Brian will advise when this is completed.

II - Ongoing Programming

Miki Kashtan, host of the Conflict Hotline, met with the program council and answered questions regarding the new proposal for the show. Program council took up discussion of the proposal after meeting with Miki and voted to decline the proposal for broadcast as an ongoing program.

V  =  1Y, 11N, 1A

Program council then continued the discussion on the Taking Aim proposal and voted to decline that proposal. V = 4Y, 8N, 1A

III - Evaluations

Reviewed evaluation status and committee progress on 6th and 7th round of evaluations. Departmental recommendations of 5th cycle of programs delayed by the extended fund drive. Some evaluations, especially in the music department, noted as rather slow coming in.

Process development for "six-month check-in" delayed by fund drive (and illness) again and still waiting on meeting with community rep and public affairs department to sort out. Will report to full program council after meeting finally occurs.

IV - Special Programming

Program council requested to see and discuss Labor Collective proposals for Women's Day and Dolores Park programming. President's Day programming proposal came in while PC was on fund drive break and decision made by PA department was to decline the proposal.

While on break, proposals also came in for Women's Day, Bang 4 Change, and Behind The Screens, all to be presented to PC on Feb 21st, as well as Morales execution coverage on the evening of Feb 20th.
