I - Announcements/Agenda/Administrative
May 2nd and June 6th minutes approved with attendance corrections noted. (Sepideh recorded as present on May 2nd and Nick recorded as absent on June 6th. May 30th meeting did not have quorum and will have no official minutes recorded.
Announced Pride Day programming for June 25th - 9-11 feature w/Sunday Salon - followed by 11-4 special broadcast. Details regarding host to be filled on at June 20th meeting.
II - Evaluations
Midnight Special with Al Glenn, Midnight Special w/Avotcja, The Gospel Experience, Panhandle Country and Pig in a Pen approved for annual contract. Decision on America's Back 40 lacked a clear majority and will be revisited when the music director returns from a three week vacation.

II Evaluations
Cycle 5 PA evaluations were postponed due to Amelia’s absence.
Cycle 5 music evaluations were postponed to next week have more participants in the decision making process.
Youth Radio self evaluation has not been received yet
III On-going Programming
There is a Pacifica network wide mandate for all the stations to have ½ hour long daily news in Spanish beginning in July. The details are not clear. The GM and the department heads can brief the PC on the discussions on how to implement this decision.
IV Special Programming
Behind the Screens can be aired on July 4. The actual air time will be decided next week

I Announcements/Agenda/Administrative
Mary Prophet attended as a new community representative and was introduced all around. Tracy to send Mary P. the PC intro kit (electronic version), so she can review prior to the next meeting.
Listener comments to be made available to the PC via CD. 1st installment given to Brian S to distribute via the list-serv as an mp.3 file so program council members can listen. Lemlem committed to regular distribution of listener comments by CD.
Luis announced that Rock en Rebellion (approved by the program council for broadcast in 2002) has been offered and accepted the one hour slot on Sunday from 5-6pm vacated by Gregg McVicar and Earthsongs. Program to begin after the fund drive is completed on the first Sunday in June. The last Earthsongs broadcast on May 6, 2006.
II - Evaluations
Luis reported that Cycle 5 music evals are ready for departmental recommendations. Balance of programs and last PA program from Cycle 5 (Saturday Talkies) scheduled for May 30th meeting.
Renewed Across The Great Divide for annual contract.
Six month check-ins still pending for Late Night Hype and Sunday Salon
Self-Evaluation Form completion still pending for Youth Radio.
Cycle VI departmental recommendations should be ready for the PC to begin in early June.
III - On-going Programming
Renewed Education Today for annual contract.
IV - Special Programming
Approved Kalyaan by the Pilipino Producksyn Collective for June 12th broadcast 8pm to midnight pending notification of the Monday night broadcasters.
Also approved the extension of the API heritage month special from 10pm to 10:30 pm on May 28th.
Approved annual Carnaval broadcast from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday May 27th from 16th and Harrison Streets.
Dev advised that Friday Night Vibe and the History of Funk would be collaborating on a 4 hour joint broadcast on June 16th to honor Tupac Shakur's birthday. No special proposal required as the scheduled hosts will be participating in the programming.
V - Long-Term Issues
Discussed recent issues with programmer (Klay Ordona) expressing concern with length of time proposal was in transition between the programming coordinator and the PC. Expressed some interest in streamlining delivery so that three week period doesn't elapse between submission of a one-time proposal and PC's first look at it. No specific suggestions, just an open discussion.
